Pedodontics (Pediatric Dentistry)
Pedodontists (Pediatric Dentists) are dentists who have received special education after graduating from the faculty of dentistry. In the process starting from the newborn (0-28 days) period until adolescence (10-18 years), a pediatric dentist deals with the resolution of problems in your children’s oral region.
Except for orthodontics, all child tooth treatments enter into the specialist field of pedodontics. These treatments include measures that protect from decay, the treatment of teeth that were injured in trauma and that were dislocated, equipment that provides for the protection of the locations of teeth, and crowns done with methods unique to children’s teeth.
Children’s treatments compliant with dentistry can be done under clinical conditions, and for mentally disabled or anxious children, it can be done by administering sedation or under general anesthesia.
What Is Sedation?
Today, sedation techniques are used routinely in many countries in adult or noncompliant child patients under either consultation offices or hospital conditions. The patient is not much different while in a state of sleep. It is administered at our clinic.
What is General Anesthesia?
The patient provides no response to any stimulant under the effects of anesthesia. They don’t remember anything about the performed operation. It is administered in an incredibly safe manner at the general operating rooms at our clinics.
